Brno, Nov 17 (BD) – It’s easier than ever to find things to do for the new week in Brno, with our top picks list. There are loads of great events coming up, ranging from art, dancing, and entertainment to health and technology. Join an innovative marathon at the AT&T Hackathon or go for a charity race at the Elite Battle of Brno 2019 Winter, or stop at the Mint Market to look for some stylish dresses and shoes… the choice is yours!
Kick-start the new week with some artistic and cultural vibes. Pop to the “Redefining Boundaries” exhibition, or head to Šelepka to see “Largo Desolato”, the highlights for Tuesday. “Redefining Boundaries” is a student exhibition about the conceptual overlaps of photography showcased in three concepts: Questioning the Medium, Personal Viewpoint and Beyond Photography. The artists of the exhibition are Hungarian students from the Photography Department at the University of Kaposvár. Find your own definition of boundary by visiting the exhibition on November 19th at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Brno. You can find more information about the exhibition on the Facebook event (in English and Czech).
Another hot tip for Tuesday is an English adaptation of the play “Largo Desolato”, written by Václav Havel while he was in prison during the time of communism. Although the show was written during the communist era, the story mainly focuses on the inner world of human beings and their sense of personal identity and freedom. For more details about the play, read the article: BEST Presents Largo Desolato, A Play Written By Václav Havel, in which director Filip Daňhel discusses the play and the reasons he chose it for the Brno audience. The performance will be launched by Brno English Speaking Theater on November 19th at Šelepka. Check the Facebook page (in English) to find more information about the show.
If you feel torn between iOS or Android operating systems for your next smartphone, why don’t you attend the “BrMo 2019” mobile conference to find the answer. The two-day hackathon will take place in Pavilion E, Brno Exhibition Center on November 22nd – 23rd. All you need to do is form a team and register (in English) online for the competition by November 20th. You can find more information about the hackathon on the Facebook event (in English).
