Czech Rep., May 15 (BD) – From May 25th, restaurants and pubs will be fully open, as will swimming pools, saunas, castles and chateaux. According to Vojtech, summer camps will open from June 27th, with a provisional maximum of 300 participants. “If the epidemiological situation continues to be favorable, the capacity of events will be extended to 500 people from June 8th and up to 1,000 people from June 22nd,” he added.
Bars and restaurants will have to be closed between 11pm and 6am, apart from takeaway windows. According to government epidemiologist Rastislav Madar, customers will not have to wear masks when eating and drinking at their tables, but will at all other times when moving around the area. Staff should also wear masks. Disinfection must be provided for guests at the entrance, and tables must be disinfected between each group of customers.
“Customers must wear masks whenever they leave their table, and in all common areas,” said the Health Ministry, adding that contact between customers should be minimal, and restaurant staff should actively prevent customers from different tables gathering closer than the specified distance of two meters.
