Czech Rep., May 23 (BD) – “If the situation calms down, masks could be put aside at the end of June,” Vojtěch said at a press conference on Friday.
Provided that the spread of Covid-19 remains under control, rules on wearing masks could be relaxed before the summer holidays. Novinky.cz reported that, according to Vojtěch, a decision on the matter would be made in June, adding that some people would probably continue wearing masks even after it was not obligatory.
The requirement to cover the nose and mouth when out and about in public has been in place since March 19th, as a protection against the spread of coronavirus.
From next Monday, May 25th, it will be allowed to walk outside without masks, but the rules will remain in place in shops, public transport and other indoor spaces.
