Brno, May 27 (BD) – On Saturday, June 6th, at 9am, a new free-to-use sports facility will open next to Pavilion P at the Brno Exhibition Center, at a time when most of the center’s events have been cancelled. The facility is part of the City of Brno’s efforts to cater for residents unable to go on holiday and stuck in Brno for the summer.
“Anyone interested will be able to come here for fun and sports. I see this as a benefit, especially now it seems that significantly more people will remain in Brno during the summer months than usual, due to anti-coronavirus measures,” said Brno Mayor Markéta Vaňková.
The new sports complex will contain ten table tennis tables, three basketball courts and six tables for teqball, a combination of football and table tennis. There will also be two streetball courts. Visitors can borrow balls and rackets for free. The facility will be open to the public from 9am to 8pm from June 6th.
